Easigrass TV Commercial

Just Think produced a 30-second animated TV commercial for Easigrass which brought to life their famous grass-covered ‘Easibug’ vehicles. You can see the process from storyboard to finished commercial in the gallery below.

The Brief

Easigrass – the UK’s leading artificial grass company – are an innovative company who are keen to embrace the latest technology. The company famously helped John Lewis ‘turf’ its roof terrace along Oxford Street for its 150th celebrations and now has an international network of more than 30 retail partners. Easigrass were looking for a cost effective way to introduce their brand to a TV Audience.

The Solution

The Easibugs – the company’s iconic grass covered cars – are instantly recognisable throughout the country, so it made sense to create a commercial which expanded upon that recognition. The commercial was storyboarded and the characters created in our studio before being handed over to the animation team, who brought the concept to life. The commercial was broadcast on the ITV Player network. Video On Demand – or Catch Up TV – is a cost effective first step into the world of television advertising.

The Results

We plotted a very clear path for Easigrass to maximise awareness of the brand and their synonymous Easibug vehicles. The ads were tremendously well received and the Easibug characters that we created have been used across a range of Easigrass advertising and promotional literature. The Video On Demand platform enabled the company to monitor the click-through rate from the advert to their website.
